Another great source for all things local is Wake Up! In Provincetown, a weekly live-streamed morning show. Wake Up has landed a new home this year, recording out of the Provincetown Pride Center every Friday morning at 9am.
New Members Shoutouts
The season kicks off earlier and earlier each year with events led by the new event producers of Lesbian Visibility Week Ptown in April, and don’t miss out on a variety of new shows produced by Lash Entertainment this year at their residency venue, the Art House.
Artist-owned Gallery 193 ArtSpace held its grand opening over Valentine’s weekend, while new gallerist, Ali Gray, will open the doors to the Ali Gray Gallery in the former Stewart Clifford Gallery this May.
Provincetown’s Crown & Anchor is officially under new ownership, joining the Tryst Hospitality group this year with plans for a new pool and hotel renovations.
Want to combine your summer fitness with the Cape Cod sunshine? Join the Provincetown Tennis Club this summer to expand your skill level, get in some practice time, and meet other local and visiting players. You can also get your steps in while learning something new with a variety of tours provided by Ptown Walking Tours. Weekly tour offerings include a historical journey through the West End, Local Legends & Lobster Rolls, a curated culinary and history tour and Martinis & Mingle, an immersive social stroll of Provincetown’s vibrant cocktail culture with its rich bohemian, maritime, and LGBTQ+ history.
Fresh Lewks & New Vibes
As you drive into town this summer, you’ll notice some fresh lewks for a couple of local banks, including a new branding makeover for Cape & Coast Bank (formerly the COOP) as well as a shiny new location for Seamen’s Bank on the corner of Howland Street and Harry Kemp Way.
Newly opened Baedega offered a seasonally-driven small plates menu and cocktail destination in Truro that will be moving to central Commercial Street this season.
Be sure to stop by the beautifully designed Breakwater Cafe at the Provincetown Inn, offering neighbors a new West End coffee shop with a full cafe menu and to-go picnic options for beach-bound visitors.
This past winter Motta Field underwent a facelift through a town-approved redevelopment project, adding a skatepark and brand new track and sports fields with an official grand opening slated for mid-summer.
Get Thee to Sea
Project Valor Sailing is a celebrated Dutch-built Lemsteraak, 38 feet in length, and is considered one of the most beautiful wooden boats in America. Her mission is to honor and remember the service of all United States Veterans, especially those disabled in service to the nation. ALL members of the Veteran Community and their assistants sail free of charge.
It’s never too late to learn a new skill, that’s the ethos of Sailing For All Provincetown, a sailing school where adults of any level or ability can develop and perfect basic keelboat skills, guided by seasoned instructors and fellow members of the Outer Cape sailing community.
An eFoil, or electric hydrofoil surfboard, is a motorized surfboard that uses a submerged propeller and hydrofoil wing to lift the board above the water’s surface, giving the rider the sensation of “flying” just above the water. Controlled by a handheld Bluetooth remote, it offers a silent, smooth, and fast riding experience and is now available to rent locally through E-foil Cape Cod’s Provincetown location.
New PBG Members, Dolphin Fleet and Hindu Charters are both seasoned businesses in town with exciting new offerings this year, including specialty sails in participation with Sail Boston® 2026, where tall ships and vessels from around the world will converge in Boston July 11-16 to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
