The Monsters, Myths & Legends-themed Summer celebration started Sunday August 14th with the Feet Over Front Street 5K and a SOLD OUT "Let's Get Kraken" Harbor Cruise.

Carnvial 2022 – Monsters, Myths & Legends – officially began on Sunday August 14 with events that filled the streets and seas of Provincetown.

Feet Over Front Street 5K Run & Walk

The second running of the PBG’s new-for-this-season Feet Over Front Street 5K stepped off at 8:30am with nearly 150 runners & walkers of all ages (the youngest was 4 months – admittedly he had a bit of help by way of his stroller and moms). The crew worked their way down the length of Commercial Street (known as Front Street once upon a time) from the Harbor Hotel to the Provincetown Inn.

"Let's Get Kraken" Carnival Cruise

Carnival’s celebrated yearly harbor cruise aboard the Bay State Cruise Company’s Provincetown II saw a jam-packed 800 revelers dance and party throughout the afternoon. The 3-hour tour commenced with a live performance by Miss Conception, belting out the queer nautical classic Poor Unfortunate Souls in her finest Ursula the Sea Witch drag. Two sets by NYC-based DJ’s Justin Dawson & Bright Light Bright Light kept the crowd moving & grooving as the sun gradually set over Provincetown Harbor.

A huge round of thanks go out to Grindr, Kraken Rum, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka for making this event possible.
