The PBG is excited to announce that after working with Town officials since mid-February, the Parade for Carnival 2022 – Monsters, Myths & Legends has been given the go-ahead! That’s right, the 44th Annual Carnival Parade – the first since 2019 – returns on Thursday, August 18, 2022.
While Provincetown Pride may be coming up shortly June 3-5, our eyes remain on the prize for Cape Cod’s largest celebration – Carnival! After going dormant for two years, we have an opportunity to make this year’s Carnival Parade extraordinary! The PBG is partnering with Town Crier, Daniel Gómez Llata to help organize the parade and his partner Bill Sullivan select our costume and float judges for this year. In addition, we have been digging into the archival planning of Carnival-pasts with the help of local icon Roger Chauvette, to ensure that we make Provincetown proud!
The full Carnival schedule is coming soon! Until then – make sure to book your tickets now for three of Carnival’s biggest events:
Sunday, August 14th: Let’s Get ‘KRAKEN’ Carnival Cruise
Monday, August 15th: The Myth of Medusa Pool Party at the Brass Key
Wednesday, August 17th: Mx Justin Vivian Bond at Town Hall
Interested in helping to make Carnival happen? We’re looking for volunteers to help us with the Parade on Thursday, August 18th.
