Stories On The Hill: Sail Four – A Submarine Story with David Zeni

Join us On The Hill for a free public presentation with author David Zeni discussing his new hardcover book, Sail Four: A Submarine Story. Inspired by the tragic 1927 sinking of the U.S. Navy submarine S-4 off Provincetown’s Wood End, the book brings together history and human drama surrounding one of the Cape’s most memorable maritime disasters. During the program in our East Gallery, Zeni will speak about why he chose to tell this story, read selected passages from the book, and share a slide presentation featuring historical images and background related to the event. David Zeni is a former Provincetown resident now living in Harwich, Massachusetts. A former Navy submarine officer and former employee of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Sail Four is his second book. Please join us for this interesting and engaging story On The Hill! This event is free and open to the public. The Shallop Bar will be open before the program begins — come up early, grab a refreshment, and join us On The Hill for what promises to be an incredibly interesting Provincetown story.
