Let’s Dance! Provincetown Film Society Hosts Footloose-Themed Prom Fundraiser Featuring Liza Lott and Local Stars – Saturday, June 14

Provincetown, MA — Grab your dancing shoes and tease that hair—because the Provincetown Film Society (PFS) is throwing the prom of your dreams! On Saturday, June 14, join PFS for a high-energy, Footloose-themed Prom Fundraiser, packed with dancing, drag, and all the irresistible nostalgia of the 1984 classic that defined a generation.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Provincetown’s thriving arts community, the event will feature electrifying performances by local drag sensation Liza Lott and a dazzling lineup of Provincetown favorites.

Guests are encouraged to dress in their finest ’80s prom/cowboy attire—think big hair, bow ties, ruffled tuxes, poofy gowns, cowboy hats and boots. The school gym will be transformed into a scene straight out of the movie.

The Provincetown Film Society has played a vital role in preserving and promoting independent film through the Provincetown International Film Festival, Waters Edge Cinema, and artist residencies that support emerging voices. PFS continues to strengthen Provincetown’s legacy as a creative sanctuary and a beacon for filmmakers from around the world.

All proceeds from the prom benefit PFS’s mission to support and showcase bold, diverse storytelling and to ensure that Provincetown remains a home for cinematic art year-round.
