Kristen Becker YEAR ROUNDER
Comedian Kristen Becker spent a decade on the road touring the deep south with her all lesbian “Dykes Of Hazard” comedy tour before joining forces with punk rock preacher Jay Bakker (yes, Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker are his parents) for the “Loosen The Bible Belt” tour- aimed at bridging the gap between religious extremism and the LGBTQ community in the deep south. For over twenty years her sharp observational humor has tackled social issues with fearless wit while her offstage perseverance creates real social change.
Landing in Ptown in 2014, she soon founded Summer of Sass, a NFP that relocates LGBTQ+ young adults to live, work and experience Ptown for a summer. She’s been featured in Curve Magazine, the Advocate and the “Welcome to Provincetown” Podcast, named one of the best Podcasts of 2022 by the New York Times. In 2024 Becker received the high honor of being elevated to Sainthood and named “Saint Sassy the Topless” by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Becker effortlessly blends good deeds with dirty jokes and believes there is a little bit of both in all of us.
