EVENT DESCRIPTION
Jacqueline Woodson is one of the world’s most beloved and critically acclaimed authors. She is the author of dozens of award-winning books for young adults, middle graders and children; among her many accolades, she is a four-time Newbery Honor winner, a four-time National Book Award finalist, and a three-time Coretta Scott King Award winner. Join us for this special event that welcomes Woodson back to Provincetown, a place that nurtured her as a Fine Arts Work Center Fellow. Woodson will read from her work and be joined in conversation by Patrick Nolan, Publisher of Penguin Books, who will moderate a wide ranging conversation about her writing life and award-winning work.
This unique cultural event begins at 5:00 pm with a reception on our courtyard, followed by the Summer Salon conversation starting at 6:00 pm in the Stanley Kunitz Common Room. The event will include a moderated Q&A with the audience followed by a book signing.
