Howards End Guest House
Howards End is located in the very heart of Provincetown, but far enough from the hustle and bustle to enjoy a good nights rest. In addition, we are just steps away from the ferry, bus depot and town beaches. Howards End’s intimate size makes it ideally suited for both couples and singles. Guest rooms are cheerful, comfortable and airy, and we offer a choice of King, Queen, or twin beds, with private or shared baths.
The house, built in 1840, was the residence of the whaling Captain Ezra Cook. In 1946 it was converted into a guest house by Peter Hand, and it is Provincetown’s oldest continuously operating LGBT Bed & Breakfast. Howard Weiner bought the property in 1997, and renamed the business to “Howards End Guest House”. Unfortunately our dear Howard passed away in October 2015. Since then, his partner Yi Zhao took over and the story will go on…
