Marsh March: Saturday, May 27th at 12 Noon

Salt marshes are unique habitats at the intersection of land and sea, supporting biodiversity, improving water quality, and providing coastal protection. Katie Castagno, director of the Land-Sea Interaction Program at the Center for Coastal Studies, will guide us in a 45-minute “Marsh March” to explore the West End Marsh.

West End Marsh is at the forefront of climate change, facing threats of rising sea levels and increased stress from predators. We will learn about how this marsh has changed over the past several millennia and how it might change in the future.

Please bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, and boots or water shoes that can get wet and muddy!

We are asking for a $55 Donation to participate in this event, which includes a $50 membership to the Center for Coastal Studies to support their continued work and research.

Meet at the Provincetown Inn, and participants will walk over together to the marsh.
