Be part of the Revolution as Carnival experiences as sustainable Renaissance!

🌎 Reduce: Plastic is bad for humans and merpeople alike. And it’s so colonial. Limit your use of single-use items when taking part in Carnival (like Mardi Gras beads : )

🌎 Reuse: Drink up! Bring a reusable water bottle to quench your thirst at one of the nine water refill stations around Commercial Street and visit the hydration station at Fire House 3 to get your H2O during the parade.

🌎 Recycle: It’s Revolutionary! Provincetown has clearly marked recycling and litter receptacles. It’s not all trash so be mindful to use proper receptacles because Recycling Rules!

The PBG is very grateful to be partnering with CARE Cape Cod @careforthecapeandislands and the Provincetown Recylcing Committee @provincetownrecycling for this year’s Carnival Parade to partner in reducing plastic waste, promote recyling efforts, and to generate additional awareness surrounding sustainability - even while celebrating at Cape Cod’s largest event! We know it’s dissapointing not to throw Mardi Gras beads as we have for 45 years, but we must always be vigilant in evolving our events to reflect the growth and learning of our community, in an effort to keep our home even more beautiful.
