Provincetown 4th Annual Food & Wine Festival kicks

Provincetown 4th Annual Food & Wine Festival kicks off today! 🥂

Enjoy over a dozen events all weekend long, including wine dinners at @lizs.cafe, @ciroandsals and @ocean193restaurant, a free wine sampling and art stroll on Friday afternoon from 1-4pm with complimentary transportation by @mayflowertrolley, and a “Wine & Roses” wine tasting & live music event Friday evening at 9pm featuring @qyacristal at @onlyatthecrown!

You can also pop by an open house at the @provincetownartssociety (Friday, 5-7pm & Sat-Sun, 12-4pm), be entertained at Drag Brunch hosted by Anita Cocktail both Saturday & Sunday at the @pocafecabaret at noon and, of course, the Grand Tasting is this Saturday at Town Hall from 1-4pm. NOTE: you can pick up wristbands as early as 12:30pm this year—and this event will sell out early so get your tickets today!

This year’s 3rd Annual Pie Fest and fundraising auction will return on Sunday from 1-3pm at the @commonsptown and the weekend’s festivities will end with the LAST DANCE at the @boatslipresort’s FINAL TEA DANCE of the season from 4-7pm (so expect the unexpected)!

Dear Provincetown Visitors,

As we collectively mourn the news on this dark day and grapple with our anxieties and fears of what’s yet to come, we want to remind our visitors that Provincetown is here for you, always. The strong bedrock of our LGBTQ+ safe-haven at the edge of the world was built with intention and love through the hard-won work of our queer ancestors: The lesbian caretakers of Provincetown ushered an entire generation of dying men through the unspeakable hardships of HIV/AIDS. Provincetown has been the chosen home of the longest-running trans event in the world since the mid-1970s because this is the space in which that community felt safest. Our organization remains dedicated to supporting the efforts of others who come here to lift up the full spectrum of the LGBTQ+ community. We feel it’s important now to remind you that the sense of safety and community you experience in Provincetown is always available to you, year-round with accessible winter & spring rates starting at $50/night.

Provincetown is not just a seasonal tourism destination, but a community of LGBTQ+ people and allies who are woefully experienced with the need to coalesce, protect each other, and fight for our right to exist. This means we are also prepared. And while Provincetown can provide an escape from frightening headlines there’s also opportunity to organize wherever you are now against those forces that seek to attack LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive freedoms, drag queens, trans children, our immigrant brothers and sisters - all those who may now be under attack. In the coming months, our community needs to actively stand together in the face of those who wish to take hard-fought rights away and demonize us for how we are.

For today, let the spirit of Provincetown remind you that you are not alone and love can still win out the day. We look forward to seeing you here when you need us, and please remember to spread that spirit of Provincetown with those around you, wherever you may be.

If you haven’t voted early, get to the polls—Town Hall is open today until 8pm.

Election result viewing parties will be held tonight at several places around town including the @ptownbrewingco (hosted by @juliancyr & @_tadonna_), the @gifford.house and @oldcolonytap.
