Plan to visit Provincetown’s Expedition Whydah Pirate Museum!
In 1984, famous explorer Barry Clifford and his team discovered the legendary wreck of the Whydah Galley, which sank in a northeaster off nearby Wellfleet in 1717. The Whydah Pirate Museum is our base of operations.
Here you will learn the fate of Sam Bellamy and his pirate crew, have a glimpse into the little-known golden age of piracy, view authentic weaponry, tools, canons, coins and other artifacts, all excavated from the wreck.
Museum Admission: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and kids. Kids 5 and under, free. Group rates available.
Our Cafe features Speedwell coffee, fresh pastries, Cape Cod Pops Local Scoop ice cream; chips, snacks, cold drinks. Open 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. (Subject to change).
