The Salt Marsh Tour is a safe and fun way to explore the ecology of a very unique ecosystem that fills and empties with the tides twice every 24 hours.
This 90-minute, easygoing tour includes the history of the ‘breakwall’ (a 1.5-mile rock jetty), a paddle through seagrasses, and a few dune stops to explore the crabs and critters that play between the tides.
The rock jetty and dunes prevent large fish, such as sharks, from entering the marsh.
